Humax and Medwyn William to showcase new Organic 'Grow your Own' Range at GLEE and Four Oaks

Date: 26/06/07

Following the runaway success of the Organic Potato Bag, growing media and compost specialists, Humax Horticulture together with Chelsea Gold Medallist Medwyn Williams, will showcase their new comprehensive range of organic ‘grow your own’ Fruit and Vegetable Bags at this year’s GLEE Show.

Record sales and an overwhelming response from customers prompted the company to develop additional products for the popular grow-in-the-bag concept. The extended range will now include a total of ten organic bags, with specific formulas for Tomatoes, Carrot and Root Crop, Peas and Beans, Peppers and Chilli, Onion Garlic & Leek, Marrow & Cucumber, Sweetcorn, Strawberries, Potatoes and Salad Crop.

As handy-sized, ready-to-use packs, the bags can be positioned conveniently on patios, balconies or in small gardens and are filled with organic growing media that provide the perfect growing conditions for each of the crops.

Noted horticulturist and Chelsea Gold Medallist, Medwyn Williams, currently judging on the new BBC programme, The National Village Show, consults on product development at Humax and was heavily involved in developing the range. He explains, “The Organic Potato Bag had been so well received by consumers and seems to have hit the market at the perfect time. It made sense to add to the range so that even the most reluctant of gardeners can now enjoy the benefits of a complete range of home grown, freshly picked fruit and vegetables from right outside their door. The bags have been devised to be easy to use and produce great crops regardless of whether you have a garden, patio or balcony. There’s no need for additional equipment so they’re literally as easy as plant, water and grow.”

The Humax team and Medwyn will be available at GLEE in Hall 5, Stand B12 to demonstrate the range and answer any questions.
