Plant & Human Hygiene

In recognition of the fact that directly or indirectly all growing media may be linked to the human food chain, all Humax ingredients and raw materials are regularly analysed by independent accredited laboratories for human pathogens ensuring that, in so far as is practical, all Humax products are free from harmful bacterial contamination.

Materials are analysed for E coli, E coli 0157, Salmonella, and Listeria, these being standard indicators.

Equal care is applied to the elimination of plant disease transmission; all sites are regularly sampled and certified as free from Club Root, Rhizoctonia and Xanthomonas Campestris. Copies of current certificates and historic records are available to customers on request.

Samples of all production batches are maintained on each site for a period of not less than 6 months. All products are traceable through production to delivery.
